BOYD JOHNSON: Johnson is the Director of the Asset Management Group (AMG). A licensed Realtor and former CPA, Johnson has an Economics degree from Hampden-Sydney College with an undergraduate equivalent in accounting from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU). He also holds a MBA from VCU with a concentration in MIS and Finance. The former Vice Chairman of the Board for the Printing Industries of Virginia (PIVA), he has owned several businesses. He has been a bank consultant since selling the businesses in the area of Special Assets. In addition, to this consulting he has spent over ten years in Commercial Banking. Prior to moving to Roanoke, he was the Assistant Director for the Governor of Virginia’s Office of Energy and Emergency Preparedness representing the Commonwealth at the Southern Governor’s Conference; the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments; Oak Ridge National and Brookhaven National Laboratories; and various U.S. Congressional and Virginia Legislative Committees. He served as the Technology Chair for the Virginia Delegation at the last White House Conference on Small Business. Western Virginia Community involvement include Board Member of the Science Museum of Western Virginia; President of the Council of Community Services board; Treasurer of the Girl Scouts of Virginia Skyline Council; President of Hampden-Sydney Alumni Club of the Roanoke; and Vestryman for St. John’s Episcopal Church. In addition he has served as the campaign Chairman for Major donors and Major corporations for the United Way of the Roanoke Valley. Creative problem solving with consideration of separate and diverse interests is his forte.
